JK Lakshmi Cement Limited has been declared the “Preferred Bidder” for the mining lease of the Juipahar New Umrangso Limestone Block (A and B) in Assam, following its participation in an e-auction conducted by the state government.
The limestone block covers an area of 405 hectares and represents a strategic addition to the company’s raw material resource base, strengthening the long-term supply of limestone for cement manufacturing.
The company stated that achieving preferred bidder status positions it to develop and operate the mining lease, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, while adhering to sustainable and responsible mining practices.
