UltraTech Cement, India’s largest cement producer, has successfully commissioned a 7.5 MW round-the-clock hybrid renewable energy project at its Sewagram Cement Works in Gujarat.
The on-site project integrates solar power (via bifacial modules with trackers), wind energy, and battery storage, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the plant without reliance on the traditional grid. This marks a major stride toward sustainable, low-carbon manufacturing in the energy-intensive cement sector.
Executed in partnership with Gentari, a leading clean energy solutions provider, the project reinforces UltraTech’s commitment to renewable integration and climate-conscious operations.
