TruAlt Bioenergy Wins Big with Rs 390 Crore Bioethanol Order

TruAlt Bioenergy has clinched a substantial Rs 390 crore order from leading oil marketing companies (OMCs) including HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, and Mangalore Refineries and Ports. This deal mandates the supply of nearly six crore litres of 1G Bioethanol from August to October 2024, marking a significant portion of the total tender quantity of 66 crore litres. Currently capable of producing 14 lakh litres per day of 1G Bioethanol, TruAlt is expanding its capacity to 20 lakh litres per day, incorporating dual feed integration for ethanol production from maize and damaged grains.

In addition to ethanol, TruAlt is scaling up its CBG production, with plans to establish 24 plants nationwide and a joint venture with GAIL for 10 CBG facilities. Looking ahead, TruAlt aims to diversify into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), 2G Bioethanol, mevalonic acid (MVL), biodiesel, and specialty chemicals. This strategic expansion underscores TruAlt's commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions in India, aligning with national goals for renewable energy and reducing carbon footprint.
