Chennai Gets Ample: New Industrial Park Launched

Ample Parks—a joint venture between Actis and Mahindra Lifespaces—has launched its first Grade-A Industrial and Logistics Park in Mahindra World City (MWC), Chennai, with an investment outlay of ₹800 crore. Spread across 71 acres, the park is the largest industrial offering within the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) of MWC, providing approximately 2.1 million sq. ft. of leasable space.

Strategically located near the Oragadam Industrial Corridor – Maraimalai Nagar (OMM), the facility is designed to serve sectors such as automotive and ancillaries, engineering, electronics, white goods, and other allied industries. It offers both built-to-suit and ready-to-move-in infrastructure for R&D and commercial operations.

Upon completion, the park is projected to generate ₹110 crore in annual revenue and an estimated ₹1,400 crore over the next decade, while creating employment opportunities for nearly 11,000 people.

Sustainability is central to the project, with 50% of its power needs to be met through renewable energy. The development also includes 441,000 sq. ft. of dedicated green space and over 8,000 trees on site. CEO Akash Rastogi noted that Ample Parks aims to expand its land portfolio tenfold within the next five to seven years, with a focus on Tier-I and Tier-II cities.

The launch has attracted significant interest from leading industrial players, reinforcing Chennai’s growing status as a hub for industrial and logistics real estate.
