Gensol-Matrix Consortium Secures 237 MW Capacity Under PLI Scheme

Gensol Engineering, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables, has secured 237 MW of annual capacity under India's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. The consortium will establish an electrolyser manufacturing plant, reinforcing its presence in the green energy sector.

This latest achievement builds on their previous success, where they secured 63 MW in the first tranche of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) tender. The combined 300 MW capacity qualifies the consortium for an incentive of ₹450 crore under the PLI scheme, issued by SECI.

The Gensol-Matrix partnership, driven by common promoters, is poised to play a pivotal role in the green hydrogen sector. They plan to leverage their combined expertise to explore further opportunities in green hydrogen derivatives, including green steel and green ammonia.

This win not only bolsters the consortium’s standing in the renewable energy market but also opens new avenues for growth. Their focus on green hydrogen aligns with global trends towards sustainability and positions them as key players in India's clean energy transition.

With this milestone, Gensol and Matrix are set to make significant contributions to India's renewable energy goals, particularly in green hydrogen production.
