Hettich India Boosts Skill Drive with Two New Training Hubs

German furniture fittings manufacturer Hettich India is scaling up its skill development program by opening two new carpenter training institutes in Bengaluru and Kolkata. Designed to bridge the industry's trade skill gap, these additions will complement Hettich's existing centers in Faridabad and Mumbai, which focus on training woodworkers to use modern, mechanized machinery for furniture fabrication and installation.

Speaking at the launch of the company's new Kochi Experience Centre, Rahul Thakkar, Director of Sales at Hettich India, highlighted that the company currently upskills approximately 6,000 carpenters annually to boost their job prospects. To address rising consumer demand for smart furniture, Hettich is also partnering with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to train vocational students on advanced technical installation practices.
