Innovation in Gear: Tata Elxsi, Emerson Launch Bengaluru Mobility Hub

Tata Elxsi, a leading global design and technology services company, in collaboration with Emerson, has inaugurated the Tata Elxsi + NI Mobility Innovation Centre (TENMIC) in Bengaluru. This state-of-the-art facility aims to spearhead automotive innovation by integrating cutting-edge systems and software solutions with global automotive expertise.

TENMIC is strategically positioned to facilitate early-stage validation ("shift left") of performance and functionality through virtual and physical testing, significantly ahead of production. It combines Emerson’s Test & Measurement business capabilities with Tata Elxsi's deep automotive engineering and data analytics solutions. The centre's focus includes advancements in software-defined vehicles (SDVs), autonomous driving technologies, and electric vehicle (EV) systems and batteries.

India’s growing prominence as a global hub for automotive development is underscored by the presence of R&D centres for OEMs and semiconductor companies. The shift towards enhanced vehicle electronic architecture, electrification, and connectivity underscores the need for accelerated software development and testing capabilities to deliver new features swiftly, with reliability, safety, and performance.

Located in Bengaluru, the centre leverages the city’s robust R&D ecosystem and proximity to global OEMs, suppliers, and technology firms. Tata Elxsi and Emerson’s Test & Measurement business are headquartered in Bengaluru, further enhancing the city's status as a key hub for automotive innovation.
