Kannappan Iron and Steel Company Limited is coming up with a new M.S Ingots & M.S. Billets Manufacturing Plant Project at Anupatti, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. The project is expected to cost 10 Crores and will involve the expansion of the existing plant to increase its production capacity from 28,800 TPA to 88,800 TPA. Total Project cost is 10 Crores.
Increased production of TMT Bar, M.S.Channels, Angles Rods and other RE Rollable: The project will also expand the company's production of TMT Bar, M.S.Channels, Angles Rods and other RE Rollable from 199,200 TPA to 288,000 TPA. This will help to meet the growing demand for these products in the Indian market.
Import substitution: The project will help to reduce India's reliance on imported M.S Ingots & M.S. Billets and TMT Bar, M.S.Channels, Angles Rods and other RE Rollable. This will save the country foreign exchange and improve its trade balance.
As on November 2023, The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. By the end of the year 2023, development on the project will have begun.
