Kesar Enterprises Limited, a sugar and distillery company in India, plans to expand its existing molasses based distillery from 45 KLD to 125 KLD (RS/ENA/Ethanol) and install a 4.0 MW Co-Generation of Power Plant at Baheri in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The project cost is estimated to be 98.50 crores.
The expansion will increase the company's production capacity of ethanol, which is a renewable fuel that can be blended with gasoline to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The 4.0 MW Co-Generation of Power Plant will generate electricity from the heat generated by the distillery process, which will help to reduce the company's energy costs.
The project is now in the stage of construction being started. The completion of the project's work has reached the 65% mark. The work on the project will be finished by March of 2024.
