Lenskart's Vision: Rs 1,500 Crore Eyewear Mega-Factory in Telangana

Lenskart, a leading eyewear manufacturer, is set to invest Rs 1,500 crore to establish a state-of-the-art production facility in Telangana.

The facility, located in Tukkuguda’s Non-Special Economic Zone (SEZ) General Park, is expected to become one of the largest eyewear production hubs globally. Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu recently laid the foundation stone for the project.

The new manufacturing unit is projected to create 1,600 jobs. Commercial production is slated to commence in two years, with full-scale operations expected within four years.

Lenskart signed an agreement with the Telangana government for the project in December 2024. According to a senior official from the Industries Ministry, the company aims to export eyewear products to markets such as Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and the Gulf region.
