Nidec Accelerates India Growth with Third Rajasthan Plant

Nidec India has started building its third manufacturing plant in the Japanese industrial zone of Neemrana, Rajasthan—further reinforcing parent company Nidec Corporation’s long-term commitment to India.

Since launching operations in Neemrana in 2016, Nidec India has expanded its portfolio from automotive motors to white goods and now, advanced automotive components. The upcoming facility, with an investment of ₹450 crore, is expected to be operational by September 2026. It will manufacture high-tech components including electric power steering motors, park lock actuators, electric water and oil pumps, and BLDC engine cooling fan motors.

Nidec Corporation CEO Mitsuya Kishida also announced broader expansion plans, including a USD 55 million investment to establish a five-plant mega campus in Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka, under the Motion and Energy (MOEN) business. This initiative aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2027. In addition, a USD 150 million investment is being made in Maharashtra under the Global Appliance (ACIM) business, with a 50-acre land MoU already signed with the state government.

Neemrana currently hosts over 51 Japanese companies, with cumulative investments of ₹6,500 crore and a workforce exceeding 26,000 people.
