Schwing Stetter India plans to significantly increase production at its recently inaugurated Jamshedpur manufacturing facility, targeting output of 400 truck mixer machines per month next year.
The facility, which received consent to operate in August, produced around 25 machines during its first month, according to Chairman and Managing Director VG Sakthikumar. The company plans to raise monthly production to 50 machines in September, and much higher by the end of December. Inaugurated in June, the Jamshedpur plant is dedicated to manufacturing truck mixers for Tata Motors trucks and currently operates exclusively for the automotive manufacturer. The company has also expanded its existing manufacturing facility by adding two lakh sq. ft. to its construction area.
Schwing Stetter said the required investments in manufacturing capacity have been completed, while supplier preparations are underway to support increased production over the next two to three years.
