Bids Open: ₹188.08 Crore Turnkey Project for Sone River Barrage

The Water Resources Department has invited bids for the construction of the ATPS Sone Barrage at Chachai on the Son River, with an estimated project cost of ₹188.08 crore.

The scope of work includes the development of a barrage with a minimum gross storage capacity of 12.34 MCM and a live storage capacity of 10.00 MCM. The project will involve a maximum submergence area of 323.23 hectares, including 40 hectares of private land. It covers detailed surveying, preparation and approval of designs and drawings, as well as execution of all civil, mechanical, and electrical works associated with barrage and weir construction.

The contract also includes supply and installation of generator sets and diesel generator (DG) systems for gate operations, along with maintenance of all installed systems for three years after completion. The project is proposed on a turnkey basis with a 36-month construction period, followed by a 60-month defect liability period (DLP).

The last date for submission of bids is 29 May 2026.
