Heritage Meets Modernity: A New Railway Experience for Punjab

Big upgrades are coming to Punjab’s railways! On July 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open four newly redeveloped stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. While the Jalandhar Cantonment station will host a physical inauguration, the stations in Mohali, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Sri Anandpur Sahib will be dedicated to the public virtually. These transformed hubs now feature modern amenities like improved concourses, new lifts and escalators, and better passenger facilities, all while celebrating the local architectural heritage of the region.
