The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the construction of a six-lane road tunnel on NH-148AE in Delhi. The proposed tunnel will connect the Dwarka Expressway with Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Kunj, helping to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in key parts of the national capital.
The project, with an estimated cost of ₹3,549.34 crore, will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). The scope of work covers the design, engineering, construction, and long-term maintenance of the tunnel infrastructure.
The tunnel is expected to enhance connectivity between South and West Delhi while supporting better integration of the National Capital Region’s road network. Bids for the project can be submitted until 18 August 2026.
