The Water Resources Department, Bihar has invited bids for a key infrastructure initiative under the Bihar Water Security and Irrigation Modernization Project (BWSIMP).
The project involves the raising, strengthening, and construction of a flexible pavement road along the Eastern Sone Main Line (ESML), spanning a total length of 31.985 km. The scope also includes the restoration of seven existing studs and construction of thirteen new studs between km 14.000 and km 26.275 along the ESML alignment. These works aim to enhance both road connectivity and flood control infrastructure, which are vital for effective irrigation and water resource management in the region.
The estimated project cost is ₹258 crore, with a completion timeline of 32 months, inclusive of the monsoon season.
