Pipeline to Progress: Janakpuri Gets Major Infrastructure Boost

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on September 3, 2025, inaugurated the construction of new sewer, gas, and water pipelines in his Janakpuri constituency under the civic outreach campaign ‘Rekha Sarkar Aapke Dwar – Samasyaon ka Samadhan, Meri Prathmikta’.

Addressing long-standing civic challenges, Minister Sood stated, “Many areas in Janakpuri had never been connected to proper sewer lines, and in others, aging infrastructure led to drinking water contamination. These new projects will significantly upgrade civic amenities. Our aim is to transform Janakpuri into a model constituency for development.”

The infrastructure works span multiple localities, including A5 A White Flat, Valmiki Marg, CD Block in Uttam Nagar, Posangi Pur village, T Block in Uttam Nagar, Z Block in Dayalpur, and several mohallas in Shiv Nagar, Hari Nagar, and Virender Nagar.

Pipelines will be installed using modern trenchless technology, minimizing disruption by avoiding extensive digging. The work is expected to be completed within three months.
