SUEZ Delegation Dives Into Coimbatore's 24x7 Water Project

A high-level delegation from SUEZ France and SUEZ India visited Coimbatore on September 1, 2025, to assess the ongoing progress of the city’s ambitious 24×7 water supply project.

The delegation included senior executives:

Silvina Somasco Mozziconacci, International CFO, Olivier Garnier, Senior VP – Investments, Rasmi Ranjan Ray, CEO – SUEZ India, Sashidhar Gollapinni, Executive Director, Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director

The visit began with a comprehensive project presentation, followed by field inspections at key locations including the AKS Nagar and Cheran Nagar Overhead Tanks, Tatabad Customer Facility Centre, the newly constructed Master Reservoir, and the SCADA control centre responsible for real-time water network monitoring.

As of September 1, the project has achieved a major milestone:

90,117 households are now receiving continuous 24×7 water supply, 23,420 households are connected to intermittent supply, A total of 1,13,537 household service connections have been commissioned

The delegation commended the project team for maintaining high execution standards, prioritising safety, and adhering to global best practices.

Speaking during the visit, Rasmi Ranjan Ray, CEO of SUEZ India, noted:

“Coimbatore is emerging as a model for building a reliable and sustainable urban water infrastructure. The dedication and quality of work here are setting a benchmark for similar projects across India.”
