The Rajasthan government has approved two major drinking water projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission to benefit four districts—Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran. Together costing ₹5,184 crore, the projects aim to ensure regular household water supply across these regions.
The ₹1,661.14-crore Nonera project will serve 749 villages and six towns in Kota and Bundi, reaching 1,13,287 families. It includes the construction of water treatment plants, reservoirs, pipelines, and 14 pumping stations.
The ₹3,523.16-crore Parwan–Akawad project will supply drinking water to 907 villages in Baran, 184 villages in Kota’s Sangod constituency, and 311 villages in Jhalawar. The project will feature water treatment plants, reservoirs, and a 661-km transmission pipeline.
Both projects are slated for completion by August 2027 and are expected to significantly enhance access to clean drinking water under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
