Sankara Eye Foundation India (SEFI), a not-for-profit eye care organization, is set to invest Rs 100 crore in establishing a state-of-the-art super specialty eye hospital in Patna, Bihar. Spanning 1.60 acres in Kankarbagh, the facility will be equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver advanced ophthalmic care, according to an official statement from the foundation.
Dr. R V Ramani, Founder and Managing Trustee of SEFI, highlighted the initiative's goal of improving accessibility to quality eye care. “With the launch of Sankara Eye Hospital in Patna, we are committed to bridging the gap in ophthalmic services, ensuring that financial or geographical barriers do not prevent anyone in Bihar from receiving world-class treatment.”
Currently, SEFI operates a network of 14 hospitals across 10 states in India, furthering its mission to provide high-quality eye care services to underserved communities.
