Manipal Hospitals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to establish a 350-bed multi-specialty hospital in Nagpur, with an investment of ₹700 crore.
Scheduled to become operational by 2029, the facility is expected to generate approximately 3,000 jobs and will serve Nagpur and surrounding regions. As part of the agreement, the state government will extend support by facilitating necessary permits, approvals, and fiscal incentives to ensure timely completion of the project.
Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, said the initiative reflects the group’s commitment to expanding access to advanced healthcare. “The new facility in Nagpur will bring high-quality, multidisciplinary care closer to communities that need it most,” he noted.
The hospital will house specialised departments in cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and other key areas, significantly enhancing access to comprehensive medical services in central India.
