Namsai’s ₹356Cr Medical Milestone: Tenders Now Open!

The Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, Arunachal Pradesh, has issued a tender for the establishment of a 100-seat medical college along with the augmentation of an attached 100-bed district hospital.

The project, estimated at ₹356.6 crore, will be implemented on a public–private partnership (PPP) basis and covers the design, construction, financing, equipping, furnishing, operation, and transfer of both the medical college and the hospital. The development will adhere to the norms prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The proposed medical college will have an annual intake of at least 100 MBBS students and will utilise the existing facilities of the district hospital at Namsai. The selected bidder will be responsible for developing, operating, and eventually transferring the facilities upon completion.

The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the state while expanding access to quality medical education. The bid submission deadline is 27 February 2026.
