Narayana Health's Next Chapter: $360M for 2,000 New Beds

Narayana Health has announced a capital expenditure plan of Rs 3,000 crore over the next three years to add 2,000 hospital beds across India, according to Group CFO Sandhya J. Around 20% of this investment has already been deployed, mainly towards land acquisition. With the groundwork largely complete, the company is now transitioning to the construction phase of its expansion.

Internationally, capital investment in Narayana’s Cayman Islands operations has been finalized, with only minimal maintenance spending expected going forward.

Domestically, the healthcare chain continues to evaluate new growth opportunities to enhance India’s healthcare infrastructure. On the performance front, the Dharamshila hospital has achieved break-even, and the Gurugram facility reached break-even in the January–March 2025 quarter.
