Rainbow Children’s Hospital, headquartered in Hyderabad, is planning a major expansion in Northern India as it looks to scale its specialised paediatric healthcare model across the country.
Currently operating 23 hospitals and five clinics across nine cities, the healthcare chain intends to replicate its successful hub-and-spoke model in key northern states. As part of its growth strategy, the company plans to add around 900 beds, supported by strong brokerage backing to ensure a disciplined and sustainable national expansion.
Founder and Chairman Dr. Ramesh Kancharla highlighted that nearly 60 percent of India’s annual births occur in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Haryana, making the region a major focus for future growth. With India recording approximately 2.7–2.8 crore births each year, Rainbow aims to establish large tertiary children’s hospitals supported by smaller units that can provide faster emergency access.
The company has also maintained steady financial growth, reporting revenue of Rs 1,524.9 crore in FY25, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of specialised paediatric and maternity healthcare in India.
