Varanasi’s ₹258 Crore Healthcare Upgrade: Bidding Now Open

The Planning Department of Uttar Pradesh has invited bids for the design, engineering, and procurement for the construction of a 500-bed multi super-specialty hospital at Shri Shiv Prasad Gupta (SSPG) Divisional District Hospital in Varanasi.

The project involves the demolition of 11 dilapidated buildings within the existing hospital परिसर and the construction of a modern, state-of-the-art healthcare facility under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode. Implemented under the National Health Mission, the initiative aims to significantly enhance healthcare services in the region.

The contract is valued at Rs 258 crore and has a stipulated completion period of 48 months, along with a defect liability period of three years to address any post-construction issues.

This project forms part of Uttar Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand medical services to meet the growing demand in the state. The deadline for bid submission is 18 February 2026.
