Haryana’s ₹4,000 Cr Infrastructure Revolution Begins

Haryana’s High-Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has finalised tenders worth Rs 4,016 crore for various infrastructure development projects across the state.

During the meeting, 58 tenders were reviewed, of which 56 were approved after detailed negotiations, resulting in estimated savings of around Rs 150 crore. The outcome reflects the government’s focus on improved financial management and efficient utilisation of resources. Senior ministers, including Anil Vij, Mahipal Dhanda, and Vipul Goel, were present at the meeting.

The approved projects primarily target strengthening Haryana’s power distribution network, with measures such as reducing line losses, setting up new substations, and upgrading existing infrastructure. A key decision includes the implementation of SCADA and DMS/OMS systems in Gurugram. In addition, several major urban development initiatives were cleared, including the four-laning of master roads under the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority.
