Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVNL) is inviting bids for significant upgrades to Kurukshetra’s power distribution network under the revamped distribution scheme in Haryana. This project, known as Package-A, focuses on replacing LT bare conductors with LT Armoured XLPE cables, enhancing 11 kV lines with new ACSR conductors or XLPE cables, and improving distribution transformers. The work will also involve the bifurcation of existing 11 kV feeders.
The comprehensive contract includes supplying materials, erecting infrastructure, and conducting necessary testing and commissioning. The total cost for this extensive project in Kurukshetra district is estimated at Rs 53.76 crore. Additionally, UHBVNL is inviting bids for Package-B, which will cover similar upgrades in the Pinjore division of Panchkula district, with a project cost of Rs 20.94 crore.
These projects aim to modernize the power distribution network, ensuring more reliable and efficient electricity supply to the regions. The improvements are expected to significantly reduce power losses and enhance overall service quality.
Interested contractors must submit their bids by 13 August 2024 for Kurukshetra and by 14 August 2024 for Pinjore. This initiative reflects UHBVNL's commitment to advancing infrastructure and supporting the region’s growth.
