Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has announced funding of ₹358.82 crore for the construction of 97 rural roads and 33 bridges in Andhra Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PMJANMAN).
Speaking at the National Watershed Festival in Guntur district, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive development and justice for tribal communities. The projects aim to strengthen road connectivity in regions inhabited by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), improving access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and electricity.
He noted that these initiatives support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of “Swarna Andhra.” With tendering expected to conclude within a week, all projects are targeted for completion by 2025–26, fostering socio-economic progress in remote tribal areas.
