The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has commenced the construction of a crucial flyover to link the Dwarka Expressway with the Gurugram Rewari Highway. The project, which began on July 26, 2024, involves the construction of a 183-meter-long, two-lane flyover near the intersection of Old Pataudi Road and the Dwarka Expressway.
This new infrastructure will feature an 11-meter-wide, unidirectional road designed to facilitate the smooth flow of high-speed traffic from Delhi onto the Rewari Pataudi Highway. The development is anticipated to significantly reduce travel time and enhance connectivity for commuters between these key routes.
However, a significant challenge for the project is the relocation of an overhead high-tension power line, a task expected to take three to four months. Despite this, the NHAI has set a completion target for March 2025, aiming to mitigate any potential delays and ensure timely delivery of the flyover.
Once completed, the flyover will play a vital role in alleviating congestion and improving traffic efficiency in the area. This strategic initiative underscores the NHAI’s commitment to upgrading infrastructure to meet the growing demands of urban mobility.
With construction underway, the new flyover is poised to become a key component in the regional transportation network, enhancing the overall commuting experience for residents and travelers.
