Indrayani’s Green Turn: PMRDA Invites Bids for ₹674 Cr Cleanup

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has invited bids for the Indrayani River Pollution Abatement Works project aimed at addressing water quality issues in the Pune Metropolitan Region.

The project focuses on improving the river’s water quality through enhanced sewage treatment and effluent management. The estimated project cost is ₹674.13 crore, which will be utilised for the installation and upgradation of infrastructure required for effective pollution control. The execution period is two months from the date of the work order, followed by a 15-year maintenance period.

This initiative forms part of PMRDA’s broader efforts to promote sustainable urban development and improved water resource management in the region. Bid submissions close on 15 January 2026.
