KMB Invites Bids for Berth Operation & Maintenance (ROMT)

The Karnataka Maritime Board (KMB) has issued a tender for the operation of a 350-meter-long berth at Old Mangalore Port (Bengre Side), Karnataka, under the public-private partnership (PPP) model on a renovate, operate, maintain, and transfer (ROMT) basis.

The scope of work encompasses the operation and maintenance of the berth, which is crucial for enhancing the port's cargo handling capacity. The selected Concessionaire will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the berth and associated facilities, including shore cranes (HMC/RMC), tugboat services, and other relevant equipment. The facility has a maximum cargo handling capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum (MMTPA).

The estimated value of the contract is Rs 103.48 crore.

The deadline for bid submission is 08 May 2025.
