A New Wave of Hope: Rajasthan's ₹350 Crore Water Project

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on August 4, 2025, laid the foundation stone for the ₹350 crore Isarda–Dausa Drinking Water Project in the Lalsot assembly constituency, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to ensuring basic amenities for every village.

Speaking at a public event in Dungarpur village, CM Sharma announced that the project aims to provide clean and reliable drinking water to approximately 6.27 lakh people across 302 villages and Lalsot town by 2027.

The infrastructure plan includes:

Eight clear water reservoirs,Five pump houses, Over 1,800 km of water pipelines, These will ensure a consistent and sustainable water supply to the region.

CM Sharma emphasized that access to safe drinking water is a fundamental right, essential for improving public health, quality of life, and economic development in rural Rajasthan. Once completed, the project is expected to significantly reduce dependence on water tankers and strengthen village-level sustainability in the Dausa district.
