GE Aerospace will invest USD 14 million to upgrade its manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of its operations.
Following a USD 30 million investment announced last year, the expansion will focus on process enhancements and automation to support the production of advanced engine components. The Pune facility has evolved from a multi-business unit site into a key supplier for GE’s global engine factories, working with over 300 suppliers. The plant is ISO-certified for environmental and safety standards and emphasizes sustainability. Leveraging GE’s FLIGHT DECK operating model, the facility has achieved higher productivity, shorter lead times, and reduced downtime.
Vishwajit Singh, Managing Director of the Pune facility, said, “This investment reflects our commitment to advancing India’s role in global aerospace manufacturing.”
