The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has proposed development works worth ₹81,317 crore for Amaravati, the state’s greenfield capital city. Of this, tenders have already been floated for projects totalling ₹50,552 crore.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, while reviewing progress with ministers, officials, and contractors, was briefed on the commencement of 74 projects covering housing, public buildings, roads, utility ducts, flood control measures, and core infrastructure. He directed that project completion be accelerated—targeting delivery six months ahead of schedule—and emphasized seamless implementation in Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) areas.
CM Naidu also called for fast-tracking approvals for institutions like BITS Pilani and XLRI to establish campuses and urged continuous monitoring of 72 organisations that have been allotted land. Stressing the need to convert land allotments into active investments, he highlighted opportunities in Sport City, tourism, airport infrastructure, biotech, education, and healthcare.
Inviting India’s top 10 real estate developers to participate, the Chief Minister reiterated his vision to develop Amaravati as a green energy corridor, promote electric vehicles, and implement real-time air quality monitoring across the capital region.
