German consumer products major BSH Home Appliances is doubling down on the premium appliance market in India, driven by robust double-digit growth in 2024. To build on this momentum, the company plans to expand its distribution network into tier-2 and tier-3 cities and diversify its product offerings.
Rudolf Klötscher, Chief Sales & Service Officer at BSH, highlighted India's strategic importance: “India is one of our most important and fastest-growing markets globally. The scale of the population and low penetration across appliance categories present enormous potential.”
BSH currently serves Indian consumers through its premium brands Bosch and Siemens, and its luxury brand Gaggenau, offering a wide range of appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, cooktops, and ovens. Its focus on premiumization aligns with rising demand for high-quality, technology-driven appliances in India.
The move into smaller cities reflects BSH’s intent to tap into growing disposable incomes and aspirations beyond metro areas. Strengthening its regional distribution and broadening its portfolio, the company is well-positioned to sustain its growth trajectory in India’s evolving home appliance market.
