Delhi's ISBT Gets a 2.5-Acre Boost for Major Redevelopment

Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena has approved the allotment of a 2.5-acre land parcel in Sarai Kale Khan to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), paving the way for the redevelopment of the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT).

Transferred from the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), the land will support significant infrastructure upgrades at the existing ISBT site. This redevelopment is part of the larger Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project, which includes a major transit station at Sarai Kale Khan.

The initiative aims to enhance commuter experience by integrating modern amenities and streamlining connectivity across transport modes. It is a key step in transforming Sarai Kale Khan into a major multimodal transport hub for the National Capital Region.
