Mumbai-based Godrej Enterprise Group (GEG), one of the city’s largest private landholders, is initiating a comprehensive masterplan for the systematic development of its 1,000-acre land parcel in suburban Vikhroli, according to a senior company official.
Led by Jamshyd Godrej and Smita Crishna, the Group has already begun relocating select manufacturing activities from the site. However, manufacturing will continue at Vikhroli, reaffirmed Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director of GEG. “We are undertaking a master planning exercise to determine how the land can be developed in a structured and phased manner over time,” she said.
The initiative reflects GEG’s long-term strategy to optimise its strategically located land while retaining core industrial operations. The plan aims to ensure sustainable growth, efficient land use, and alignment with the evolving urban and economic landscape of Mumbai’s key industrial corridor.
