Gurgaon–Pataudi–Rewari: A ₹900 Crore Project Nears Its End

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set a new deadline of December 2025 for the completion of the four-lane Gurgaon–Pataudi–Rewari highway, following a two-year delay.

Initially proposed in 2018 to upgrade the existing two-lane state highway to a national highway, the project is being executed at an estimated cost of ₹900 crore. Construction began in 2021, with the original completion timeline set for November 2023. According to NHAI, approximately 70% of the work is now complete.

Two key structures are still under construction: a railway overbridge (RoB) at Pahari village and a two-lane unidirectional flyover on the Dwarka Expressway, both of which are in advanced stages.

Once completed, the highway will significantly decongest the Delhi–Jaipur Expressway and serve as an alternate route to key industrial areas including Manesar, Bilaspur, and Dharuhera. Minor delays remain due to pending sewer line upgrades and the slow dismantling of a stormwater drain along the corridor.

NHAI officials have confirmed that all remaining components, including approach roads, are being prioritised for completion by the end of 2025.
