Mega Deal: BNP Paribas Leases 500,000 Sq. Ft. in Chennai

Global banking leader BNP Paribas has secured approximately 500,000 sq. ft. of prime office space in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The financial major signed a 10-year lease agreement spanning four floors at One Radial, a premier commercial complex owned by Mindspace Business Parks REIT. This landmark transaction expands Mindspace REIT’s presence in Chennai, where its portfolio—comprising One Radial, Commerzone Porur, and Commerzone Pallikaranai—covers 6.3 million sq. ft. of leasable space (5.1 million sq. ft. completed and 1.2 million sq. ft. currently under development).

The substantial deal highlights the accelerating demand for large-scale commercial real estate across India, driven by multinational corporations establishing and expanding their Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
