Mission Water: Kozhikode Prepares Ahead of Summer

The Kerala government is set to convene a high-level district meeting in Kozhikode to evaluate drinking water supply projects and map out strategies to tackle potential summer water shortages.

Organized by the Water Resources Department (WRD), the meeting will convene local body chiefs and elected representatives to assess constituency-level water stress. Key agenda items include resolving execution bottlenecks in ongoing water schemes and formulating plans to revive non-operational minor irrigation units. The outcome will feature a time-bound action plan aimed at strengthening water infrastructure before the onset of summer.
