Municipal Council Jhunjhunu Plans Common Municipal Solid Waste in Rajasthan

Municipal Council Jhunjhunu is setting up a Common Municipal Solid Waste Management Facility Unit Project at Dewrala, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The project cost is estimated to be 13 crores.

The project will process the solid waste collected by Municipal Council Jhunjhunu. The biodegradable waste will be composted and the non-biodegradable part of the waste will be converted into energy.

The project will require 33 KLD of water, which will be supplied by the State Government (PHED). The power requirement of the project will be around 500 KW during the post-construction phase.

The project is now in the stage of receiving approvals. The project has received all necessary clearances. It is anticipated that development on the project will begin in February of 2024.
