In a major policy initiative aimed at transforming Andhra Pradesh into a national hub for aerospace and defence manufacturing, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the Aerospace and Defence Policy 4.0 (2025–2030) at the State Secretariat on 23 June 2025. The policy aspires to attract investments ranging from ₹50,000 crore to ₹1 lakh crore over the next five years, positioning the state as a leading destination for cutting-edge defence and aerospace industries.
Highlighting the strategic importance of advanced technologies and indigenous innovation, the Chief Minister referenced India’s deployment of modern systems during Operation Sindoor, underscoring the evolving role of technology in national defence. He stressed the need for robust support to MSMEs, urging a strong focus on quality benchmarks, value addition, and effective marketing and branding. “The vision of ‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’ must be realised,” he stated.
To support the ecosystem, CM Naidu proposed establishing a ₹100 crore annual corpus fund, alongside logistics subsidies tailored for MSMEs. He emphasized that Andhra Pradesh must outpace other states in this high-growth sector.
Aerospace and Defence Advisor Satish Reddy, joining via video conference, provided expert inputs to shape the roadmap. The policy also outlines the development of specialised manufacturing corridors across key regions in the state, aligning industrial growth with national security priorities.
