Railways Greenlights New Station Closer to Khatu Shyam Temple

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the development of the Khatu Shyam Sundrapura Railway Station in Sikar, Rajasthan, to enhance connectivity to the Khatu Shyam Temple. Located just 11 km from the pilgrimage site, the new station will serve as a much closer alternative to the existing Reengas station (19 km away), drastically reducing travel times for devotees.

Backed by the Rajasthan government's commitment to land provision, construction is scheduled to commence between late this year and early 2027, with a target completion date of 2029. The facility will be engineered to manage heavy seasonal passenger traffic and will feature modern amenities alongside culturally resonant, temple-inspired architecture.
