Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited, through its digital infrastructure arm Techno Digital, has inaugurated a new Edge Data Center in Mahalaxmi, South Mumbai, with an investment of approximately ₹25 crore.
The new facility is the company’s second operational edge data centre in India after its Gurugram site, as it strengthens its footprint in the rapidly expanding low-latency and AI-ready digital infrastructure market.
Developed in collaboration with RailTel Corporation of India Limited under a 20-year revenue-sharing agreement, the 800-kW data centre is designed to cater to Mumbai’s financial institutions, media networks, and other mission-critical operations requiring high-speed connectivity and reliable computing infrastructure.
According to the company, the edge data centre has been built to address increasing demand for advanced digital infrastructure driven by artificial intelligence applications, cloud computing adoption, and real-time data processing requirements.
