Telecom operator Vi (Vodafone Idea) has expanded its 5G network footprint in Kerala, launching services in Kochi, with Thiruvananthapuram set to go live on August 20. This follows earlier rollouts in Kozhikode and Malappuram, further strengthening Vi’s presence in the state.
The rollout is part of Vi’s nationwide 5G deployment strategy, focusing on 17 priority circles where the company holds 5G spectrum.
Customers with 5G-enabled smartphones in Kochi can now access unlimited 5G data under an introductory offer available on recharge plans of ₹299 and above. The service promises benefits such as ultra-fast downloads, buffer-free HD streaming, lag-free gaming, real-time cloud access, and high-quality video calls.
Vi emphasized that its expanding 5G network will support the growing demand for next-gen digital services in key urban centres.
