Major irrigation and power infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab is set for a significant boost. The Shahpur Kandi dam project on the Ravi River is nearing completion, and the finalization of the Ujh multipurpose project has cleared the way for its revival. According to Union Minister Jitendra Singh, these initiatives will harness the Ravi and Ujh river waters to generate hundreds of megawatts of electricity and expand irrigation access across both regions.
