Odisha WRD Launches ₹224 Crore Irrigation Push in Jharsuguda

The Water Resources Department (WRD), Odisha, has invited bids for the execution of four lift irrigation schemes with intake points on the Hirakud Reservoir in Jharsuguda district.

Part of Cluster XXXIII, the schemes aim to irrigate a total Culturable Command Area (CCA) of 6,360 hectares. The project will be executed on an EPC turnkey basis, covering the complete distribution network up to one-hectare chak level.

Valued at approximately Rs 224.71 crore, the contract includes provision of necessary power system connectivity and comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the commissioned systems for 15 years.

The deadline for bid submission is 29 April 2025.
