In a major boost to regional judicial infrastructure, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the construction of 845 government housing units for Class I and Class II officers of the Allahabad High Court.
Announcing the decision, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna confirmed that the complex will be built on a 10.37-acre plot in the Devghat-Jhalwa area at an estimated cost of ₹543.41 crore. The state cabinet has released ₹50 crore to kickstart initial construction work.
