Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is embarking on a groundbreaking venture with the proposed Amrapali Opencast Coal Mining Project, estimated at a staggering investment of 5136.15 Crores. Positioned as a pivotal development in India's coal mining domain, this project underlines CCL's commitment to significant infrastructural advancement.

Dubbed as the 'Amrapali - Expansion 5136.15 Crores,' this Opencast Coal Mining initiative spearheaded by Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) signifies a monumental investment aimed at harnessing coal resources for commercial utilization. While the intricate specifics of the project remain undisclosed, it is poised to be a transformative venture anticipated to impact the region significantly.

The project's strategic location in Amrapali, albeit the precise site within the area yet to be finalized, denotes a critical juncture in the regional economy. As on December, 2023. The project has begun the stage of receiving approvals. Clearances were obtained for the project. Work on the project is scheduled to begin in January of 2024.
