State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has announced the start of gas monetisation from its Daman Upside Development Project (DUDP) in the Arabian Sea, marking a key milestone in its offshore operations.
In a filing to the BSE, the company said the project—located about 180 km northwest of Mumbai and nearly 80 km south of Pipavav in Gujarat—achieved this milestone on March 29, 2026, with gas production commencing from the B-12-24P platform. The project entails a capital expenditure of $1 billion.
ONGC stated that the platform has been successfully commissioned, with gas being transported to its Hazira plant. It also noted that the project was completed in under two years from the date of award, underscoring strong execution, innovative use of the drill-deck, and the robust performance of its drilling and production teams.
